Josefina Casino-Ono was born in the Philippines and received her degree in Fine Arts with a major in Interior Design from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. 

Her work experience spans more than 25 years and 4 countries including the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Republic of Singapore and the United States. 

In Albany, New York, she served as a senior designer at EYP Architecture Engineering PC from 2001 to 2011.
